Sweet Crude Documentary Film
NIDPRODEV was host and Associate Producer for Sweet Crude, the first full length documentary about the Niger Delta. The film has received many awards since being released in 2009, and has just been signed with a distributor for world-wide distribution.
Directed by American Sandy Cioffi, the US film crew visited Nigeria three times during 2006 – 2008 to film the documentary. Founder / Executive Director Joel Bisina was the primary Nigerian consultant for the film and coordinated many of the interviews, as well as being one of the major individuals whose story is told in the film. International Director Mary Ella Keblusek served as Associate Producer, providing strategic, logistical and liaison support. Other NIDPRODEV staff assisted in providing support for each trip.
